Thecar has a proper Alfa Romeo warranty for 12 months, which sounds quite comprehensive. I'm just worried that every three years the car's gonna need a timing chain kit. I did have a look on here at others who'd had the problem, but didn't see if any of them had had it re-occur. Thanks for the help guys. Dan.

Aquick update on progress - cleaned all the earth points on the attached diagram, and many of the pos connectors. Some large 30/60A fuses in the battery comp showed corrosion. It restored the voltage to 13V (see photo), but fault codes remain!
